Lots of little crackers almost drove us crackers. We developed a system to help with the automation of moving sometimes up to 500 crackers frame by frame in the computer, but it all looked a little too slick. Computers are too smooooooth. What we were after was the stop-motion look, sprinkled with the inevitable inaccuracies that come with human error. So in the end, we did it all manually, moving each cracker frame by frame. Some late nights may or may not have been had…
