The Big Jig

Summer is festival season!

We invited character/designer animators around the globe to join us in creating an animation festival of our own and show the world how we dance.

We held an open call for entries for a 4 seconds clip of the artists’ slickest. We received 111 awesome submissions in all. We then created a film of our faves.

The fabulous Sam Worskett from Mcasso produced the 4 seconds music loop to go with the submissions and the track for the final film.

We love to work with like-minded and emerging artists to celebrate creativity and we strongly believe the best results come from collaboration. Projects like this provide a fun platform that expands the artists’ skills and also inspire all of us.
The first collaborative film we produced helped raise awareness for Breast Cancer Week – working with emerging names in the animation industry to create the now award winning Check ’em.
Then we conducted a social experiment, open to all to contribute towards a game of animated Keepy Uppy during the World Cup.
And this January we collaborated with further emerging artists to celebrate the alluring nature of naughty food in our film called Food Porn.

It’s important for us at Seed to provide creative opportunities. This time, we wanted to focus on the importance of art in music. We wanted to inspire animators to create the weird and wonderful. And you know what? They bloody did!
